1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Program Shortcuts, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Program Shortcuts is a reference tool that provides:

• Searchable cheat sheets of keyboard shortcuts and special-character sequences for common desktop and web applications.
• On-device favorites and copy-to-clipboard tools for quick reference.
• Account-linked purchase entitlement management through Google Play Billing.

Program Shortcuts does not create, edit, or produce user content. It does not process resumes, career-related documents, or job applications. It does not include AI-generated content.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

Program Shortcuts is intended for users 18 years of age and older. It is not directed to children. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Trial & One-Time Purchase

• 7-day free trial: On first use of the Android app, you may use Program Shortcuts at no cost for 7 days following your first sign-in. No payment method is required to start the trial.
• One-time Google Play purchase: After the trial, continued access is offered as a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing (product identifier career_shortcuts_unlock_099). Payment is processed by Google. The final price shown at Google Play checkout is controlling; local taxes, currency, and regional pricing may apply.
• No recurring subscription: The one-time purchase is not a subscription. There is nothing to auto-renew. If a subscription option is introduced in the future, it will be clearly disclosed before any charge is made.
• Lifetime access: "Lifetime access" means access for the supported commercial lifetime of Program Shortcuts, subject to applicable law. If we ever discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice.

5. Purchase Restoration

Google Play tracks your purchase on your Google account. Reinstalling the app or installing on another device signed into the same Google account will make prior purchases available for restoration through the app.

6. Refunds

Refund eligibility for the one-time purchase is governed by Google Play’s refund policies:

• Within 48 hours of purchase: you may request a refund directly through the Google Play Store.
• Between 48 hours and 7 days: contact us at stevenk@careersolutionsfortoday.com with your Google Play order ID and we will submit a refund request to Google Play on your behalf. Approval remains subject to Google’s policies.
• After 7 days: refunds are generally not granted because access to the digital service has already been provided. Exceptions may be considered for duplicate charges, billing errors, or documented technical issues preventing reasonable access.

We do not guarantee that any specific refund request will be approved by Google.

7. Shortcut Accuracy

Keyboard shortcuts and character-entry sequences vary by operating system version, application version, language, region, keyboard layout, and device configuration. Program Shortcuts aims to keep the reference library accurate but does not guarantee that every shortcut works in every environment. You are responsible for verifying that a shortcut behaves as expected before relying on it.

8. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Trademarks

Program Shortcuts, its layout, design, code, and reference content are owned by Career Solutions for Today. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for personal or internal business reference purposes only.

All third-party product names, application icons, and trademarks displayed in Program Shortcuts — including but not limited to Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote), Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chrome, Play), Apple (macOS), Adobe, Figma, Notion, Slack, Zoom, and any other software companies — are the property of their respective owners. Program Shortcuts is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. Their trademarks are used solely to identify the applications whose shortcuts are documented.

9. Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Use Program Shortcuts for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app or its backend.
• Circumvent, tamper with, or defeat purchase verification, entitlement checks, or rate limits.
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download the shortcut library.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the refund process, or engage in fraud. You may request deletion of your Program Shortcuts data through the public deletion page linked in the Privacy Policy or by contacting support. Additional in-app deletion controls may be provided where available.

11. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Program Shortcuts is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Career Solutions for Today is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of Program Shortcuts. Use the service at your own risk.

12. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Program Shortcuts data through our public Delete Account & Data page or by contacting support at stevenk@careersolutionsfortoday.com. Additional in-app deletion controls may be provided where available. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is deleted and what may be retained.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date at the top of this page and, where applicable, request renewed acceptance before you continue using the service. Continued use after a material update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information (stored by Firebase Authentication):

• Your Firebase Authentication user ID (UID).
• The email address you sign in with.
• Your display name, if provided.
• Your Google profile photo URL, when you sign in with Google.
• The authentication provider you used (Google or email/password) and basic account creation and sign-in metadata.

App-access and trial records (stored in Firestore under shortcutsUsage/{uid}):

• Your trial start date (first-visit timestamp) and most recent visit timestamp.
• A boolean flag indicating whether a Google Play purchase has been recorded for your account.
• The version of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy you have accepted, and the server-recorded timestamp of that acceptance.

Purchase information (received from Google Play Billing when you complete a purchase, and may be sent to our Railway-hosted backend to validate, restore, or manage Program Shortcuts access):

• Google Play purchase token.
• Product identifier (career_shortcuts_unlock_099).
• The success / pending / error status the app receives from Google Play at purchase time.
• We do not receive or store your complete payment card information. Google Play handles payment processing and only returns the purchase token to the app.

Local device data (stored on your device in localStorage):

• Your starred favorites and interface preferences. These are stored only on your device and are not synchronized to any server or across devices.
• A cached copy of the accepted Terms and Privacy Policy versions and the local acceptance timestamp, so we don’t re-prompt on every open. The corresponding server record is described in the App-access and trial records section above.
• The trial start-date timestamp and a local flag recording whether a purchase has been observed on this device. These local copies allow the trial timer and paywall to work offline; they are also mirrored to Firestore for the signed-in user.

Automatically collected when you use the service:

• Device and browser information (user agent) and IP address, used by our authentication and hosting providers for security and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate Program Shortcuts.
• Sign you in and maintain your session.
• Track your 7-day free-trial start date and grant continued access after a Google Play purchase.
• Record purchase information and, where available, send it to our backend to validate, restore, or manage Program Shortcuts access.
• Respond to support requests and account-deletion requests.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and refund manipulation.

We do not synchronize your favorites or other on-device preferences across devices. Favorites live in your device’s local storage and are cleared when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

3. Service Providers

We use the following trusted service providers to operate Program Shortcuts. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — user sign-in, session management, password hashing. Receives your email, password (hashed by Firebase), UID, and provider metadata. Firebase Privacy.
• Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) — storage of trial, entitlement, and policy-acceptance records keyed by your UID. Same privacy policy as Firebase.
• Google Sign-In (Google LLC) — when you choose “Continue with Google”, Google returns an ID token and basic profile fields (email, display name, profile photo URL) to the app for account creation. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing (Google LLC) — processes the one-time purchase, returns a purchase token to the app, and manages refund eligibility. Governed by the Google Play Terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Railway (Railway Corp.) — hosts our backend service. Purchase information (Firebase ID token, Google Play purchase token, product identifier) may be sent to Railway to validate, restore, or manage Program Shortcuts access. Governed by the Railway Privacy Policy.
• GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) — hosts our public website (careersolutionsfortoday.com). Governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement.

These providers process data on our behalf to authenticate users, store account records, verify purchases, host the app content, and prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell personal information to any third party, and we do not use Program Shortcuts data for advertising.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account, trial, and entitlement records for as long as your Program Shortcuts account is active. When you delete your account, active-system records associated with your account are removed as described in Section 5.

Records that are legally required to be retained (for example, tax, financial, or fraud-investigation records) are retained only for the minimum period required by applicable law. Deleted data may persist in operational, encrypted backups maintained by our service providers for a limited period before being overwritten on their normal backup rotation. We are working to publish the specific backup-retention window in this policy once it is formally confirmed against our providers’ documented behavior.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Program Shortcuts data at any time:

• Visit our public Delete Account & Data page for the current request path, or
• Email stevenk@careersolutionsfortoday.com from the email address associated with your account. Requests are typically processed within 30 days.

Additional in-app deletion controls may be provided where available. Please note:

• Because your Firebase Authentication account may also be used to sign in to other Career Solutions for Today services, requesting full account deletion will end access to those services on that email address. Deleting only Program Shortcuts-specific data (your Firestore record at shortcutsUsage/{uid}) is available as a separate option upon request.
• On-device data (favorites, interface preferences, cached policy-acceptance flags) is stored only on your device. It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data; deletion of your cloud records does not automatically wipe on-device data.
• Google Play transaction history remains with Google. Requesting account deletion does not automatically refund a Google Play purchase. See the Terms of Use section on Refunds for the refund process.
• Records legally required for tax, financial, fraud-prevention, or dispute-handling purposes may be retained as described in Section 4 — only for the minimum period required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data. To make any of these requests contact stevenk@careersolutionsfortoday.com.

7. Cookies & Tracking

The public website (careersolutionsfortoday.com) uses localStorage and standard session storage to remember your favorites, interface preferences, and policy-acceptance state. Program Shortcuts does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Firebase Authentication uses tokens stored by the Firebase SDK to keep you signed in.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Firebase-hosted records are encrypted at rest using Google-managed encryption. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel using two-factor authentication and least-privilege access controls. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. International Processing

Our service providers primarily process data in the United States. By using Program Shortcuts you consent to your data being processed in the United States, or in any country in which our service providers operate, subject to their own privacy protections.

10. Age Requirement

Program Shortcuts is intended for users 18 years of age and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the version and effective date at the top of this page and, where applicable, prompt you to review and accept the new policy before continuing to use the service.
